I have had every FIFA game by E.A and I'm extremely disappointed to say this is a great flop. After the success of 2005 this came as a major surprise to me how bad the game is. The CPU opposition is capable of holding on to a ball for a length of time and constantly run circles around your man. User teams are considerably slower than CPU teams so wins are far and few in between. The only plus in this game is the facial graphics are the best as yet; however this does not compensate for bad the game is for user teams. I only hope I can exchange this for some other game. Do yourself a favor and avoid this at all costs.

If I had a time machine I would go back in time, not buy FIFA 2006 and spend my $30.25 on a hooker instead. Players seem very rigid, and move like the tin man of wonderland. Press the turbo buttons and watch their little legs move like lighting but yet they don▓t seem to go anywhere. Near impossible to maneuver around your opposition without losing the ball or to score a free kick. Players seem a bit stupid, very hard to stop them running around like a chickens without their heads. Player control is poor, every pass I receive, prolonging there is a defender within 5 meters, and the ball is always striped. Bloody frustrating game, only poms could play it. All they do is play soccer, root & fish. And in the winter the lakes freeze over and shrinkage kicks in. But we have the ashes!!!

The FIFA series has always been my main footballing game, as I can't stand Pro Evo or any other footie game for that matter. But, FIFA 06 was a bit of a mixed bag. Yeah the graphics have improved, which they do every year anyway, but I was hoping for a little more detail with regards to the manager mode. Everything was just basic and boring. I've not even bothered getting FIFA 07! EA need to really pull their fingers out when making FIFA 08 and deliver quality and excellent gameplay and longevity.
